About
Nick Meir is a photographer based in West Yorkshire, working globally. His work centres on public space, managed environments, and unstable ground. Working primarily in black and white, he photographs places shaped by control, defence, commerce, and display, with a particular interest in how people appear within larger structures.
Moving between commercial space, transport systems, tourist sites, and engineered landscapes, Nick focusses on environments where structure, control, and instability are close to the surface. Observational in approach, the images are concerned with scale, repetition, and the relationship between human presence and the systems that organise space.
With a background in journalism and broadcasting, his practice is shaped by an editorial approach to observation, structure, and sequence.
